This workshop will show music educators how they can utilize the iPad as an essential assessment tool. We will discuss methods of recording both individually and within the ensemble. Using Google Drive, we will also discover how easy sending and storing student recordings can be. Grades 5-12

This workshop will help arts teachers understand what LD 1422 is about and what the administrators in the State of Maine are doing to meet the requirements of this legislation. This workshop will guide participants in the task of unpacking an arts standard to provide clear tasks that students understand. The unpacked standard will then be used to create a capacity matrix to identify and monitor individual student proficiency in meeting the standards for high school graduation. Follow the evolution of an experienced art teacher's learning, to create a variety of visual arts assessment tools, for elementary level arts students.
